Responsibilities and duties: – Identify and assess potential risks within the organization and its operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards. – participate in developing a comprehensive audit plans, including scope, objectives, and methodology, perform audit procedures, review financial records, systems, policies, and processes to assess effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance. – Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in mitigating risks, safeguarding assets, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. – Identify gaps, deficiencies, and areas for improvement in internal controls, risk management, and operational processes and provide recommendations for enhancing controls and minimizing risks. – Investigate allegations of financial improprieties or fraudulent activities, gather evidence, analyze data, interview relevant parties, and present findings to Audit manager/ management and recommend actions for remediation and prevention of such incidents. – Review compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies and standards to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, ethical guidelines, and operational procedures.
