Job Summary:
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production operations during their shift to ensure
smooth workflow, quality output, and compliance with safety regulations. They will lead the production
team, manage resources efficiently, and ensure targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management:
o Supervise and coordinate daily production activities during the shift.
o Ensure production targets, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
o Monitor and optimize machine performance and production processes.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision:
o Lead and manage production workers, operators, and technicians.
o Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
o Conduct shift briefings and ensure smooth shift handovers.
o Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to improve team performance.
3. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
o Conduct regular quality checks and inspections.
o Report and address any deviations or defects immediately.
4. Health & Safety Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
o Conduct safety briefings and enforce PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage.
o Report and investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses.
5. Equipment & Maintenance:
o Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions to maintenance teams.
o Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
o Maintain production logs, shift reports, and downtime records.
o Provide feedback to management on production performance and challenges.
